Mother to one, nurturer to many. Deborah Jo Renslow-Zimmerman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones. Her vibrant spirit is carried on through her Husband: Max Zimmerman; Daughter: Dawn (Brandon) Haddix; two Grandchildren: Lillian and Levi Haddix; Brothers and Sisters: Al (Karen) Renslow, Bev (Jerry) Ray, Patty Renslow, Sandy Renslow, Darlene (Aaron) Martinez. Debbie had many nieces, nephews, family and friends from across the country that are too numerous to list but are not forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her Parents: Lawrence and Mary J. Renslow; Brothers: Thomas and Robert Renslow; and Nephew Jerry Andrew Ray.
Debbie graduated from Horsemann High School in 1970, she received a Bachelors Degree of Science from Purdue University in 2004; and ran her own interior design company for many years. It is very hard to imagine a world without this amazing, colorful, free-spirited woman that had a heart of gold.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at The Aquatorium located at 6918 Oak Ave Gary, IN 46403, on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. All that knew Debbie and her family are welcome to join and celebrate the wonderful life she lived.
