Virginia Guerrero

In the early morning of May 25, 2023 our beloved mother Virginia Guerrero at the age of 75 was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour.

Virginia is survived by her 3 children Virginia (James) Stevenson, Jose (Gabriella) Guerrero,  and Sara (Ralph) Sukra. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Troy, Isabella, Olivia, Mikael, Peyden, Wesley, Adrianna and 2 great grandchildren Khloe, and Ezra. 

Virginia Guerrero born the daughter of Jose and Trinidad on January 31, 1948 was born in Mexico City, She was the eldest daughter of 10 Siblings and is survived by 6 remaining siblings.

She was a homemaker who raised not only her own 3 children but 3 other grandchildren in her household. She was a very dedicated mother and grandmother to us all. 

She was best known for loving her children and Jesus Christ whom she came to know and accept in to her life and heart in the early 70's upon her arrival here in the United States. She was led to Christ by the ministry of First Baptist Church in Hammond Indiana and her family is truly grateful. 

Virginia was a devout Christian and loving mother/grandmother. Although being  born hearing impaired she managed to raise her children and grand children. Over 2 generations of parenting! 

Virgina made sure to tell the  story of Jesus Christ to everyone in her family, friends and strangers alike all the way through to her last moments here on earth. She truly did exemplify that of a faithful servant and a child of the King.

She will be loved and missed forever in our hearts as she takes her new place in the heavenly kingdom of God.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. A service will be officiated at 3:00 p.m. by Pastor Roy Moffitt.
