Vernon Farr, age 87, of Hobart, Indiana died Wednesday, March 30, 2022 due to ongoing heath complications at St Mary’s Hospital in Hobart, Indiana. Vernon was born January 30, 1935, just outside of Waupun, Wisconsin. Son of Ruben and Tena (Fennema) Farr. He married his love Marilyn Etta Taul on April 12, 1958.
Vernon worked as a Circulation Manager for a small newspaper agency within an office supply store, Nassau and Thompson’s in East Chicago, Indiana, until his retirement in 1996. Over the years, Vernon’s time was spent with his family, enjoying family gatherings as well as gatherings with his extended family, the brothers and sisters he served shoulder to shoulder with in sharing his hope for the future of a paradise Earth. He served in Wisconsin and in several congregations in Northwest Indiana as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the last 70 years. He was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses when he was 14 and for the last few decades He belonged to the Hobart Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and for most of those years served as an elder until his health no longer allowed him to do so.
