Stephen Arie Hillegonds

Stephen Arie Hillegonds, age 75, of Lynwood, Illinois passed away May 9, 2026 in Munster, Indiana. He was born to Harry and Flossie Norene (née Crawford) Hillegonds on January 27, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.

He is survived by his loving children: Jeannine (Matt) LaBelle, Stephen Hillegonds, Jr, Mark Hillegonds and Stephanie Hillegonds.  Blessed with 5 grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua and Gabrielle LaBelle, Aydin Hillegonds and Dilin Augustine.  

He will be remembered for his lifelong love of Chicago sports—especially the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Blackhawks. He also had a love of music, especially The Beach Boys.

Private services will be held at the request of the family and have been entrusted to Castle Hill Funeral Home of Dyer, Indiana.
