Sophie S. Ward (nee Lebica), age 96, of Richton Park, Illinois passed away April 23, 2021. Sophie grew up, worked, and raised her family in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago and in Calumet City, finally settling in Richton Park. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great- grandmother, aunt and great-aunt. Sophie was a prolific and gifted baker, known for her generous gifting of home- baked treats. She loved family traditions and cooking for her family and friends. And she thoughtfully never missed a greeting for every birthday, anniversary or special milestone for her loved ones.

She will be privately laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois.
