Robert E. Connors, age 75, of Thornton, IL passed away at his home on November 23, 2024. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 7, 1949 to Earl M. Connors and Margaret M. Connors (nee Barry). He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Laura (Edward) Niedzwiecki, his sister Margaret (George) Snyder, and his brother Barry (Denise) Connors. He is survived by his sister Earline (Daniel) Regan, and many nieces and nephews.
He grew up on the south side of Chicago, in St. Ailbes Parish. He proudly served four years in the U.S. Marine Corp, with a significant portion of that time spent in Vietnam. After his military service, he worked in elevator maintenance for Marshall Fields, Macy’s and Target in Chicago until his retirement.
He spent much of his time on interests in electronics and technology.
At Robert’s request there will be no services held. The family will have him interred at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetary with a brief military ceremony at a future date.
