Rita M. Pfeiffer, age 92, formerly of Lynwood, Illinois passed away October 30, 2025 in Crown Point, Indiana. She was born to John and Catherine (nee Mol) Czarny on November 19, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Robert. She is survived by her loving children: Cheryl Ruthrauff, Robert (Debbie), Kathleen (Robert) Belzeski, Susan (Mike) Kaczmarczyk, Kenneth and Thomas. Rita is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her sisters Andrea (Bob) Warmus and Holly (Dominic) Tocci also survive her, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Czarny, brothers: Alex, John, Robert and Norbert; and sisters: Cecilia, Helen and Barbara.

A Funeral Mass will be officiated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Our Lady of Knock Church: 501 163rd Street, Calumet City, IL 60409. A Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Private Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Our beloved mother, Rita will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was an angel on earth and now an angel forever in heaven.
