Penny M. Caldwell, age 67, of Hammond, Indiana passed away November 29, 2024 in Munster, Indiana. She was born to Wallace J. and Dorothy E. (nee Brown) Nichols on July 2, 1957 in Hammond.

Penny is survived by her loving husband Jerry E. Caldwell; adored children: Clifford R. (Brandi) Martinelli, Valerie M. Martinelli, Melody M. (John) Karoutsos, James W. Cummins and Raymond G. (Katrina) Caldwell; cherished grandchildren: Elijah Ortiz, John Karoutsos Jr. “JJ”, Benjamin Karoutsos, Morgan Karoutsos, Tyler Caldwell, Kyle Caldwell and Corey Bellinger; dear brother Thomas E. (Elizabeth) Nichols; and 3 dogs: Punkie, Thor and Copper. She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Dorothy, and 8 siblings.

Penny was an avid lover of animals. She collected Turtles and her collection was big. Mostly, she loves spending time with her grandchildren baking and doing crafts. Her personality was big and so was her heart. She was extremely loved, and has missed more than words could describe.
