Orman E. Keys Jr. “Earl” Obituary

Orman E. Keys Jr., “Earl” was a loving and caring person. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. His life was taken and given to the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the age of 60.


Orman was born to Orman Keys Sr., and Mary (Keys) Hunt on November 20, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. He attended school in Chicago, Illinois. Orman went to Grambling State University in Louisiana. He played sports in school, in the neighborhood and as an adult. 


Orman was married to Lena (Keys) Breeding they shared and loved each other for 29 years of marriage and 4 years of getting to know each other. Family and friends were especially important to him. He would do anything he could to help the next person.


Orman was a member of New Grace Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C., under Pastor Johnny Drummond in Chicago, Illinois. He learned about the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior. For years he went to Bible study, marriage class, and men’s class.


Orman was survived by his wife Lena Keys; children -Shayvonne Breeding and James Breeding (Fiancee - Nicaasia Pickens); grandchildren – Matthew Breeding (Dayna), Talisha Breeding, Teniyah James, Tonya’ James, Ember Kay Breeding, Tamirra James, and Bryson Williams and great grandson Damon Breeding. His sibling Andre Keys, niece Alexus Cottonham and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orman Keys Sr. and Mary Keys, his son Orman E. Keys III, and his sister Diane (Cottonham) Keys.


Orman was loved and will be missed by many. The Newell family were very important to him. His birthday sake/prayer partner Renee Himelhoch was an intricate part of his life. He took none of his friendships for granted. 


Thank you, my husband for the 4 years of friendship and 29 years of marriage. I will always love you. You are loved to the moon, stars and sky.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
