Michael Raymond Veenstra, age 59, of Hammond, Indiana passed away November 23, 2025.

Mike was a beloved father, brother, Uncle, Grandfather, fiancée, and friend. He touched the lives of many with his caring heart and amazing sense of humor. His radiant smile lit up any room he entered and he made every moment unforgettable. Mike was a hardworking man. He was a Union Roofer for over 25 years with Local 26 in Hammond, Indiana. Mike was also a Marine reserve.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Linda Veenstra 

Mike is survived by his beloved fiancé Stella Wahler; loving children: William Moen, Amber McLain, Ashley Sutton, Aubrey Veenstra and Andrew Veenstra; dear sisters and brothers: Kimberly (Michael) Veenstra Hanvey, Tammy Davis, Angela (Jeff) Veenstra Payne; multiple grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 2-6 p.m. A service will officiated by Rev. Ronald L. Kondziolka at 5:30 p.m.
