Michael Jon Casler Sr. “Mick”, age 64, of Merrillville, Indiana passed away August 10, 2025 in Hobart, Indiana. He was born to Richard and Beverly (nee Boyd) Casler Sr. on February 2, 1961 in Valparaiso, Indiana. Michael is survived by his wife Melissa (nee Berdine) and family.

Jack of all trades; Master of one. Skilled carpenter of Local 1005, Mick crafted thousands of homes over 47 years. However, all homes are multi-faceted and layered. Mick’s first layer of home included his brothers and sisters: 

Brother: Rick Casler - Nephews Jason & Daniel. Sisters: Dawn Carlson (Craig), Catherine Arman – Nephew Nathan & Niece Natalie (Three great nieces & 7 nephews), Shawn Casler – Nieces Kris & Alex. Brother in Laws: Jimmy Berdine & Mark Brown (Kelly) & 3 nephews Sister in laws: Katrina Svetich (Lauren, Kyle, Ryan) Nicole Brown & 2 great nephews, Other Loved: 2 Aunts of wife Melissa (Nancy & Debbie) 

Mick - Adored Husband, partner and father of six, grandfather of 8, pillar to many rooms in his house, May the Father above receive you into his arms with the Highest Love, Peace, Grace, and shine on you the Mercy & Grace you ALWAYS Deserved.... 

Survived in Life by Wife of 25 and a half years, partner in love for 28: Melissa Casler, Blended Family of Michael Casler Sr. Is Michael Casler (Danielle) Hadyn & Robinn, (Samantha) Ezra.
