Michael "Mike" Root, age 66 of (Bridgeport) Chicago, Illinois passed away October 30, 2023. Beloved soul mate of Tammy Eigenbauer, dear brother of the late Melanie Radick, Carrie "Frances" (the late Nick) Hilton, Philip (Tara Pacella), Roger (Karen) Blanton, Harvetta (the late Danny) Hayes, Tommy (Nancy) Blanton, the late Pamela (Philip) Principe, Linda (John) Leger, David (Cordelia) Root, the late Bill (Jean) Root, beloved son of Russell and Carrie, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by many.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to be held at the Chicago Bridgeport VFW Post 5079: 3202 S. May Street Chicago, IL 60608.
