Melva E. Salas nee Trevino, 80 years old. Born in Weslaco, Texas.   Currently lived in Chicago Heights.   Daughter of Alfredo and Elida Trevino. Devoted Mother to Dino (Nikei), Ruby (Kevin), Annette (Javier), Micheal-Angelo.  Loving Grandmother to Alex, Julian, Anthony, Gabriel, Gianna, Bilal, Bijjoti,and Bashante. Big sister to Rosaura. Preceded in death by her brothers Alfredo, Efrain and Alberto. Aunt to Sandra, Joy, Michelle, Olga, Christ, Efrain II, Cindy, Christopher and Alfredo III.

Melva was a faithful servant of the Lord.  She enjoyed preaching at nursing homes for many years. She was a member of Asiel Church.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 4-8 p.m.
