Jorge Luis Caraballo, age 66, of Hammond, Indiana passed away February 2, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born to Francisco and Etelvina Caraballo on May 11, 1957 in East Chicago, Indiana.

Jorge attended and graduated from Washington High School class of 1976. He was employed by Southern Electric for 25 years.

Jorge was always the life of our large family gatherings. He was a jokester and loved to dance. During the holidays, he and his brothers were known for giving the kids in the family $20 apiece. 

George is preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Etelvina Caraballo, brothers: Efrain “Frank” Caraballo Rivera and Jose “Shorty” Caraballo and son-in-love, Dylan Glover.

He leaves to cherish his memories, loving and devoted wife, Mary Godines Caraballo, daughter: Kimiya Caraballo Glover, 5 granddaughters: Azuree’ Caraballo, Alize Glover, Asia Glover, Angel Glover, and Barbara Glover, 2 great-grandsons, Special Son: Kash Lott, 4 sisters: Rosemary “Chita” Caraballo, Mary Caraballo, Sara (Michael) Reed, Elsie (Robert “Bob”) Mergesky, 6 brothers: Francisco “Cisco” (Blanca) Caraballo, Arturo “Arthur” (Terri) Caraballo, Manuel (Rosana) Caraballo, Hector “Smiley” (Theresa) Caraballo, Ferdinand “Fly” Caraballo, and Norberto “GiGi” (Tomasa) Caraballo, Goddaughter: Tereka (Rev. Dr. Eric) Boone, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, best friends: John Schumacher and Mario Vega and a host of co-workers and friends.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
