James Estes

James Carson Estes, age 83, of Blue Island, IL passed away from natural causes on June 27th, 2020. Born in Alabama, James moved to Chicago when he was 17 years old. He was a lifetime Cubs fan and he was also an Alabama Crimson fan.

James is survived by daughter Emmer (late Michael) Cressler of Lynwood, IL; granddaughters: Michelle (Kevin) Martin of Whiting, IN and Tammy Cressler also of Whiting, IN; great-grandchildren: Kori Burgess, Nevaeh Cressler, Kellie Martin and Katie Martin; brother Leon Estes of Jasper, Alabama; sister Peggy (Napp) Estes of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

James is preceded in death by late wife Helen (Petrovich) Estes; parents Charlie Estes and Mae (Howton) Estes; brothers Ed Estes and Ralph Estes; sisters Carrie Lee (Morton) Estes, Ruth (Hill) Estes, Susie (Beard) Estes, and Francilla (Hall) Estes. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, July 11th, 2020 with a Memorial Service from 11am-3pm at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer Indiana 46311. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations appreciated.
