Howard Walker, a devoted father, faithful servant, and cherished friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and spiritual conviction.

Born in Alabama to Robert and Lizzie Walker, Howard was the only brother among three sisters, a role he embraced with care and quiet resilience. Early in life, he answered the call to serve, joining the Army and eventually settling in Chicago, where he would build a life marked by deep commitment to both family and faith.

Howard was blessed with two beloved sons, Tony and Kenny, during his marriage to Carrie Walker. Later, through his union with Shirley Walker, he lovingly raised five more children—Tina, Timothy, Terry, Jerry, and Felice—each of whom brought joy and purpose to his life. Howard’s heart was always open, and that love extended further as he later adopted and embraced three more children as his own: Sidel, Tiffany, and Stephon.

In the early 1980s, Howard came to know and love Jehovah, a turning point that would define the rest of his days. He dedicated his life to God and symbolized that commitment through water baptism. As a zealous pioneer, Howard found deep fulfillment in sharing Bible truths and serving shoulder to shoulder with his spiritual family. His joy in the ministry was genuine and contagious.

Howard’s unforgettable laugh could fill a room. Even if the joke fell flat, his laughter would lift spirits and spark joy. That laugh, like the man himself, will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

While we await the day Jehovah remembers him in the resurrection, we hold fast to our own memories—treasures of a life well lived, a father well loved, and a brother in faith deeply missed.
We look forward to welcoming him back in Jehovah’s promised new world. Until then, we keep him in our hearts, just as Jehovah keeps him in His memory.
