Gretchen Spolnik-Gerhardt, age 65, lifelong resident of Hammond, IN, passed away in her home with family by her side. Gretchen is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Gerhardt, three loving sons, David, James, and Kevin Jr. (Alyzae), three cherished granddaughters, Leanna, Kailee, and Novaleigh, brother Chris (Barb) Spolnik, nieces and nephews, Ann, Elizabeth, Maryann, Andrew, Amy, Terra, Daniel, Kimberly, and Elizabeth with great nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by devoted parents, Frank and Maryann Spolnik, dear stepmother Lillian, mother-in-law, Marcella and father-in-law, Daniel, and brother Frank. She was a loving mother, busha, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

She had a golden heart and hardworking hands. In her free time , she enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. She was a dear friend to so many, always ready to help. Gretchen will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 1219 Sheffield Avenue, Dyer, Indiana 46311 with a visitation from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
