Georgina Marie Mustonen, affectionately known as Gina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Dyer, Indiana, at the age of 65. Born on January 15, 1960, in Chicago Heights, Illinois; Gina was the beloved daughter of George and Joan Mustonen. 

A longtime resident of Munster, Indiana, Gina was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving children: Marie Mustonen, Stephanie Perez, Christopher Mustonen, Richard Mustonen, and Edward Greene Jr. Her legacy lives on though her ten cherished grandchildren: Ernesto Jr, George, Alex, Gabriel, Lilianna, Jacob, Jeremiah, Joshua, Azaliah Sanchez, and Richard Jr.; each of whom brought immense joy to her life. Gina is also survived by her brother Joeseph Mustonen and sisters: Alice Roop and Lisa Mustonen; who will miss her warmth and resilience. 

For many years, Gina dedicated herself to work at Cedar Ridge Apartments in Richton Park, Illinois and Hampton Inn in Hammond, Indiana; where she was known for her strong work ethic, kindness, and commitment to service. Her presence brought comfort and familiarity to colleagues and guests alike. 

Gina will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered for the strength and compassion she shared with the world.
