Georgiana Cecile Recupido, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on June 22, 2026, at the age of 88 in the comfort of her daughter's home which she resided shorty after losing her husband of 68 years in 2023. Born on February 26, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, Georgiana's life was filled with love, and laughter.

Georgiana was the cherished daughter of Martin and Susan Nozar (Akai), who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience. She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers Martin Jr. (Johanna), James (Sue), and William (Kristie) whose memories she held dear throughout her life. Her son, Donald, also preceded her in death, a loss she suffered with grace and strength.

Her journey began in the halls of her high school, where on her very first day, she met the love of her life, Donald John Recupido. Their love story blossomed into a beautiful partnership that spanned 68 years. Together, they raised six wonderful children: Donald (Jodi),Ronald (Donna), William (Jaye), Lori (Dave), John (Lisa), and Vicki (Arthur). Georgiana's family expanded to include 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each one is a testament to the legacy of love she built. Not to mention she assumed a role of grandma to numerous friends of her granddaughters.

Though Georgiana worked briefly as a waitress and in department stores, she found her true calling as a homemaker, dedicating herself to creating a warm and welcoming home.

Georgiana had a zest for life. She was known for her love of anything gambling-related and could often be found enjoying a game of chance or planning her next wine-tasting adventure. Reading a book, or women’s world magazine was one of her favorite pastimes. She was also known to have a cigarette gracefully held in her hand.

Her sister, Linda, remains to carry forward the memories of their shared childhood .

As we celebrate Georgiana's life, we remember her for the qualities that defined her. Her unwavering love for her family, Mr. Kitty, Simon Theodore, and her ability to find joy in the simple things.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Georgiana's memory to a charity of your choice, ensuring her spirit of continues to touch lives. A family service will be held to honor her memory. Together we will reunite our mother and father.

Georgiana Recupido's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family. She will forever be remembered and celebrated in the hearts of her loved ones.
