Emmett Wesley Price Jr., age 69, of Cedar Lake, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Robin Anne Price (née Mees); his daughter, Kearsten Renee; and his cherished granddaughter, Gabrielle Nikelle. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Brian Price.

Emmett was a devoted husband, loyal son, dedicated father and grandfather, and a good friend to many. Known affectionately as “Butch,” he was the firstborn of four children to Juanita and Wesley Price Sr., born in Hammond, Indiana. From an early age, he developed a love for music, learning to play the guitar by watching his father and uncle.

He had a deep passion for sports—especially the Chicago Bears—and was also a master gardener and an exceptional home chef.

Emmett and Robin shared a life built on love, partnership, and laughter, spending nearly every day working and enjoying life together. After earning his bachelor’s degree in computer and electrical engineering, Emmett went on to co-own and operate a successful business with Robin. He became well known for his technical expertise and engineering ingenuity.

Emmett was a joy to be around, always supportive of his family and friends, and remembered for his delightful disposition and wonderful sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 261, located at 13050 Washington Street, Cedar Lake, Indiana. All who knew and loved Emmett are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
