Obituary
Elaine Ann Zalewski, age 88 passed away peacefully at her home September 1, 2023. She was born to Joseph and Angeline (née Miotke) Detloff December 23, 1934 in Calumet City, Illinois. Elaine is survived by her daughter Angela (Lawrence) Kotel and son David Jay Zalewski, three wonderful grandchildren Elaine (Michael) Clay, Jerome (Caitlin) Kotel and Thomas Kotel and by her two cherished great grandchildren Nathan and Lillian. Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas Zalewski.
Private Interment Services were held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, Illinois with Father Mark from St. Ann Parish officiating.
The family wishes memorial contributions be made to National Eye Institute (NEI) in Elaine’s memory.
