David L. Blankenship Obituary

David L. Blankenship of Merrillville, Indiana age 67, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. David was born on September 19, 1958 in Hammond, Indiana. 


David was preceded in death by his parents William Blankenship and Mary Ann Kerr. Also preceded in death by his sister Sue and daughter Shannon Blankenship. 


He is survived by his children: AnnMarie (Patrick) Mcknight of Hammond, IN, Chrissy (Ralphy) Berrios of Hammond, IN, David (Diana) Cole of Griffith, IN. He had 5 grandsons: Dominic, Noah, Logan, Xzavier and Emmett Cole and 1 granddaughter Paige Mcknight


He is also survived by his siblings: Esther Wilson, Curtis Blankenship, Golden Nickles and Willena Reidenbach and many of nieces and nephews. 


Per the wishes of the family, there will be no services.
