Daniel J Peterson (age 65) of Lansing, IL, was born April 26, 1960 to David Peterson and Kathleen Peterson (nee Liss). From then on, he never met a stranger. He had a heart for people and a boisterous laugh, always willing to show up for others and lend a hand. He worked at CNA Insurance for 46 years, and was an avid golfer at Lincoln Oaks for nearly two decades.

Dan loved his wife of 37 years, his children, his family, friends, pets and golf up until his death on December 2, 2025.

Dan will remain in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. He was preceded in death by both parents, but is survived by his wife, Moira (nee Cutler), children Christine (Mike Young) and Melissa, and four siblings, Donald (Caryl), Karen (Rick Goodenow) Michael (Gail), and David (Dana). 

His family wishes to extend special thanks to the medical staff of Franciscan Munster for their care and compassion in his final months.
