Claude Edward Miller

Claude Edward Miller, 64, of Michigan City, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the Hospice of the Calumet Area, William J. Riley Memorial Residence, Munster, Indiana.

He was born May 22, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, to Richard and Elsie (Martin) Miller. Claude was raised by his uncle, Charles Miller, after his parents’ passing.

Surviving are two children, Brandon Miller and James Miller; two siblings, Richard (Cynthia) Miller and Viola (Robert) Ithal.

Preceding in death were his parents; uncle Charles Miller; sibling Raymond Miller; and significant other Laura Hazelton.

Claude was a retired semi-truck driver. He was a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter #23 Auxiliary. You could often find him spending time at the club; where he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed carving and woodworking. He was a genuinely kind man; who would go without so someone else didn’t have to. Claude will be greatly missed.

Cremation will take place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Castle Hill Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
