Christine A. Kurpela, age 86, of Calumet City, Illinois passed away July 23, 2024 in Munster, Indiana. She was born to the late John and Ann (nee Baran) Pawlus on February 22, 1938 in East Chicago, Indiana.

Christine is survived by her loving husband Richard; beloved children: Mark (Sandra) Kurpela and Karen (Terry) Zych; cherished grandchildren: Kenneth (Ashlee) and Lisa Kurpela; precious great-grandchildren: Cole and Connor Kurpela; dear brother Daniel (late Marie) Pawlus and sister-in-law Judy Pawlus; numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother George Pawlus.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. from Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, Illinois 69409 to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by Interment Services at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
