Alesia Roundtree Lester

Some people walk on this earth for a short time, but their impact has lasting effects. Their departure reminds us that angels are always watching over us. On November 15, 2020, at the age of 71, Alesia Roundtree Lester became one of those angels.

Alesia was a great woman, sister, mother, and grandmother. Alesia was the eldest of seven children. When reminiscing with her siblings about their childhood, her laughter was always infectious. She could be counted on to share her love of old movies or sing a quick tune from one of her many favorite songs. Her love of reading romance novels was only surpassed by her love of soap operas, which she called her “stories.” She was adored by the families of the children she drove to school every day. 

She was preceded by her father Howard, mother Mildred, brothers Tremaine and Darryl, her nephew Christopher and brother-in-law Edward. Alesia is survived by her five boys Aredell, Tyrus, Seneca, Carrifthian, and Jerrell, her siblings Sabrina, Regina, Dino, and Arnise her ten grandchildren Chanel, Aredell II, Austin, Colby, Jaison, Madison Alesia, La’Nya, Brennan, Tristen, Caleb, and two great-grandchildren Gabrielle and Jett. 

You are invited to join them in celebrating her life at a visitation being held on Saturday, November 21, 2020, between 12-4PM at Castle Hill Funeral Home located at 1219 Sheffield Ave Dyer IN.
