Rita M. Ritchie (nee Cipowski)

Rita M. Ritchie (nee Cipowski) age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Hartsfield Village of Munster where she was a resident for 5 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill "Dear heart" Ritchie. She was also preceded in death by her parents Paul and Clara Cipowski; her brothers Paul and Michael; her sister Clarice and her nephew Michael Jr. Rita is survived by her brothers: Norbert (the late Sharon), Donald (Claudia); sister-in-laws: Delores and Beverly Cipowski and her step-children: Bill (Velvet) Ritchie and Sharon Ritchie of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, IL 60409 to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment services at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN. Visitation Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Rita moved from Crossville Tennessee to Hartsfield Village of Munster where she was very happy. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Hartsfield Village for all their loving care where she will be remembered and missed for her kindness and beautiful smile. Rita was a member of the St. Andrews Rosary Confraternity, The Apostleship of Prayer Society and St. Rita's Altar Guild.
