Margaret "Marge" S. Rose (nee Sutkowski)

Margaret "Marge" S. Rose (nee Sutkowski), age 81, of Calumet City, Illinois passed away April 6, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Eugene; cherished children: Michael (Ruth) Rose, Jane (Mike) McGing, Daniel Rose, Mark (Lori) Rose and Mary Fefferman; adored grandchildren: Christopher, Cynthia, Teresa and Kathryn Rose, Keith and Marlene McGing, Shawn Falstrom, Bradley and Ryan Rose, Mira, Naomi and Ava Fefferman; dear siblings: James (Martha) Sutkowski, Catherine Sutkowski and sister-in-law Norene Rose; many special nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her infant son Christopher Eugene; parents Julius and Marie Sutkowski; brother Frank Sutkowski.

Marge was a loving mother and homemaker who took pride in caring for her family and raising her children. With five children, she was an accomplished cook, baker and seamstress. When her children were young she was a Cub Scout den leader and room mother. After her children were grown, she worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for many years. Most recently, she was employed at the Calumet City Library as a circulation clerk for 15 years. Marge especially loved time spent at the lake cottage fishing with her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She gave her family many, many wonderful and blessed memories.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, IL 60409 to St. Victor Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment services at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday Morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
