Lula Sanders

Lula Sanders, age 87, of Lansing, IL passed away May 11, 2019.

Lula Sanders was born Lula Meriel Witchard, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the 9th child out of 11 children born to Tom Witchard & Christine Payne Witchard (both deceased). Lula has one remaining sibling: Tommie Medley from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lula has 8 children: Terry, JoAnn (deceased), Sandra, Rickie, Garland (deceased), Danny (deceased), & twins June & Judy. Lula was married 2 times, both husbands deceased. Lula has 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Lula's favorite passions were reading the bible, spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren and loved watching Kong Fu movies, eating shrimp fried rice, and as she called it “Tico’s ” .  Lula worked for a number of cleaning services, and was very creative with her hands. She loved to make pin cushions and dolls. She was loved and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services Friday, May 24, 2019 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, IL 60409 with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. followed by Interment Services at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
