Dorothy M. Nocek (nee Krukowski), age 92, of Calumet City, Illinois passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at home. Beloved wife of the late John L. Nocek; loving mother of Cyndee (Bob) Czarnecki of Indian Head Park, IL and Tim Nocek of Downers Grove, IL; dearest grandmother of Jennifer (Nick) Crofts of Berwyn, IL, Kristyn (Steve) Scibienski of Penfield, NY and Jayson Czarnecki of Indian Head Park, IL; adoring great-grandmother of Emma and Matthew. Dorothy is also survived by godchildren: Rosemarie DeRosa and Thomas Arthur and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents Slyvester and Clara Krukowski, two brothers and an infant sister.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with prayers from Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248-155th Place, Calumet City, IL to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. followed by entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum. Visitation Tuesday from 3-8 p.m.
Mrs. Nocek was a 60+ year member of St. Andrew Ladies Rosary Confraternity (services begin Tuesday 3:15 p.m.), Apostleship of Prayers Society, Sunshine Club, Carmelit Society of Munster, Daughters of Isabella Unity Circle #59, Bishop Noll Alumni Mothers Club, Polish Falcons Nest # 829 and the Polish National Alliance.
