Ronald G. Evans "Duke"

Ronald G. Evans "Duke", age 86, a lifelong resident of Calumet City, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Patricia (nee Nowaczyk); 3 daughters: Roxanne (James) Swick, Terry (Paul) Maday and Melissa (Timothy) Gross; 5 grandchildren: Amanda Swick, Nicholas Maday, Ashley (Adam) Medley, Timothy Gross Jr. and Kyle Gross; great-grandchildren: Adison and Alerie Medley; brother James (Jan) Evans and special cousins Andrew and Pamela Mosele. He was preceded in death by his mother Nora Bonney and his brothers: Jack and Bill Evans.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, Illinois 60409 with a memorial gathering from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. when a funeral service will be officiated followed by Military Honors.

Ronald retired from Keyes Fibre in Hammond, IN after 40 years. He was an avid golfer, loved to go camping for many years, was a fan of the Chicago White Sox and loved going to the casino. He was a proud member and served 4 years in the United States Marine Corp. Ronald was a lifelong member of the American legion Post 330 and a member of the Club Temulac in Calumet City.
