In his spare time Rich was an avid golfer for years and rooted for his two favorite teams the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame. He is survived by his beloved children, James Harvey of Griffith, IN, and Maggie Harvey of Kansas City, MO, his sister Arlene Pozdol of Joliet, IL, his niece, nephew and their families and countless cousins.
Per Rich’s wishes no services will be held. His final resting place will be in Elmwood Cemetery with his parents. Donations can be made to one of the charities Rich kept close to his heart; Donations can be made in Honor of Thomas Hadt (Tommy’s Tumor) to The American Brain Tumor Association 8850 W Bryn Mawr Ave Suite 550 Chicago, IL 60631.
The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences and support. We smile through our sadness knowing that there was a chair waiting for him at the card table with those who had gone before him including his parents, brother in law, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
