Linda Kaptur-Sims (nee Brunner)

On November 16, 2015 our dearest Linda, after a long illness ended her journey. Her dear husband George of 25 years was at her side as she peacefully passed away. A heartful mention of love to her "Special Mom" Arlene; her dearest friend Kathy; Grama Williams; and the late Carmella Kaptur.

Dear to her heart, her daughter Kim Smith (Tony Candsa) of Florida; treasured grandkids: Jackson and Natalie; Proud Stepson George Sims Jr (Brandon of California); adorable twins: Nicholas and Jesse; 3 sisters: Barb and Marilyn of Michigan, Missy (Brian) Herrington, GA; Niece Heather; nephews Tyler (Krystal), Trevor (Krystal); and great nephew Jayden; Sister-in-laws: Debbie Sims (Mike Allison) of Woodridge, IL; Cindy (John Thomas) of Cedar Lake.

Linda loved her Ragdoll CATS, Penny and Rags, traveling, cooking, birding, and the times spent in her beautiful gardens. Recently spending quiet moments at the beach and on the Gulf in Florida with George. 

The Royal American Travel Agency in LANSING is where Linda spent quite a few years. Linda and George did some wordly travels then. After retiring from the US Post Office of Bedford Park, IL after 17 years; she had plans to move to Fort Myers and enjoy her life in that warm sun with George. 

Thanks to all the staff in the ICU at St Marys of Hobart, to Dr. Fuller and Dr Mary Tilak; who tried all they knew to keep her well.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Fairmeadow Community Church (1601 Fran Lin Parkway, Munster, IN).
