Laverne A. Szarek (nee McCooley), age 87, of Calumet City, Illinois passed away July 24, 2017. She is survived by her beloved son Michael Lewman; adored grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Lisa, Jennifer, Jimmy, Anna Marie and Samantha; precious great-grandchildren: Fabian, Alexia, Alisandra, Analya, Aviana, Zayden and Sebastian; dear sisters and brothers: Dorothy (Pete) Gwyn-Mass, Bette (Ray) Wilson, Ron (Joanne) McCooley and John (Rita) McCooley; numerous special nieces and nephews. Laverne was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and beloved children: baby Frank, Bill Lewman, Mary Szarek and Sandy Lewman.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. from Castle Hill Funeral Home: 248 155th Place, Calumet City, IL 60409 to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial followed by Interment Services at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. at funeral home.
