Eugene D. Hartz "Gene", age 84, of Highland, Indiana passed away July 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Gene was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister Karen, nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews and his dear friend Ella. He was a Korean War Veteran who served in the Air Force, a carpenter by trade, an avid bowler, a life-long fisherman, and a green-thumb gardener. A special thanks to Kane and Jodi from Calumet Area Hospice for the loving care you gave him.
Services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 directly at Highland Church of the Nazarene: 9330 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, Indiana 46322. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richmond officiating at 11 a.m. Burial will followed at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
